AlienTracker

01What it does

The UFO subject has two failure modes: credulous and dismissive. This app tries a third path — show the reports, show where they came from, and let the pattern be visible. Sighting data from the reporting centres sits next to government disclosure news and declassified documents.

02What's inside

• 3D globe of geolocated sightings, coloured by shape and sized by recency
• Statistics by country, shape and year
• News feed covering disclosure, hearings and legislation
• FOIA document index from the Black Vault and an aliens.gov status monitor

03How it works

Ingestion normalises four different data sources into one event schema, which is most of the engineering. The globe is WebGL; the rest is a straightforward read API over Postgres.
